Shoreline Polychaete Farms LLP

The company is committed to the sustainable and environmentally sensitive production of marine polychaetes for use in aquaculture worldwide and has well over 20 years of experience in this field.

Our UK location - at 55ºN on the North Sea coast of England gives us good air and sea links and isolates our operations from tropical viruses.

In the early years, production was solely dedicated to supplying sea anglers with quality ragworms for use as fishing bait. In 1998 groundbreaking advances enabled expansion into specialised broodstock maturation diets for shrimp and fish.

The farm, at Lynemouth in Northumberland, uses heated cooling water from Alcan's power station, enabling ragworm to grow throughout the year. In this way, millions of worms are produced every month in our high intensity production system.
